How to provide safe and stable food? How to develop treatments for age-related diseases or infections? How to find solutions to emerging problems, such as antibiotic resistance and chemical pollutants in our soils? All demanding challenges that modern society faces. And it’s our goal to find solutions.
The Master’s programme Biomolecular Sciences offers an in-depth exploration of molecular and cellular processes, providing you with a robust foundation to innovate and engineer biotechnological answers to such urgent scientific questions.
Our programme is designed to blend compulsory subjects with a wide range of elective courses that suit your interests. We offer a dynamic learning experience, combining lectures, tutorials, work groups, demonstrations, lab and computer practicals, as well as various onsite research training and mentoring. We also place an additional focus on preparing students to work comfortably within an interdisciplinary life sciences community.
A few main highlight of this programme is the laboratory internships which offers you invaluable, practical experience in a real-world setting. Interested in both academia and industry? In our MS you are free to do your internships in either academic research environment or in a scientific commercial company. Specifically interested in bioinformatics? You can also do a Bioinformatics internship!
Considering taking your skills overseas? We offer opportunities for international internships in the final year, and our lecturers can tap into their expansive research networks to help you find the perfect research group.
Take the first step towards becoming a part of the solution. Your adventure as a biomolecular scientist begins here.
