Time: 16.00h - 16.30h

Workshop 2: Speed-date with inspiring alumni from a variety of fields, including policy, science communication, academic research, industry research, and more. You can schedule up to 3 speed-dates.

Time: a ten-minute time slot between 16.40h - 18.00h

The aim of this workshop is to provide you with tools to explore your career opportunities as a bachelor or master student, both inside and outside science. Furthermore it will give insight into the needs (scientific knowledge, skills and work attitude) of a wide variety of employers. And last but not least you will learn to successfully match your skills to the employer’s needs. This short workshop therefore briefly involves information, a practical exercise and tips about the following topics:

Career opportunities and choices – What do you want?, Which skills do you have or do you want to develop?
Results of the NIBI employer survey (2022/2023) – exploring the employer’s needs
How to match your skills to the employer’s needs
Working at your skills during your period as a bachelor or master student

Choosing the right path after your bachelor’s degree can feel overwhelming with so many possibilities. To help you navigate your options, we’ve organized an exciting professional speed-dating event.

This is your chance to connect one-on-one with eight inspiring young professionals who’ve walked different paths in the science world. From education, science communication, and policy to academic and industrial research, and even international internships.

During this lively session, you’ll have 10 minutes with each participant to hear their stories, ask your questions, and gain valuable insights to guide your own journey. You can schedule up to 3 speed-dates.
